Room itself was spacious and clean, however hotels lobby, elevator and common rooms seen better days. It is okay for something to be old, but those places need a deep clean, very dusty. In the elevator, there is a note saying housekeeping room service is provided on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays. Overall, support the effort of getting rid of unnecessary cleaning everyday, unfortunately during our 4 day stay our room was not cleaned once, this seems like a negligence towards guests. Pool is closed permanently, both threadmills were not working, if work out is important for you, well this is not happening. Breakfast options are extremely limited, even for standard hotel breakfast. This stay was not worth the price paid at all. I would not recommend this place, its easy to find something else.

This Spring Hill boasts recently remodeled rooms, and they are pretty nice overall! it was comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. My only complaint about the room itself is that the cable/satellite seemed unstable and went out a few times while watching. The breakfast was standard fare, but plenty to eat in a nice big room that was never too crowded. The fitness center is a real shame here (and the pool is closed, in case you missed the notice). There are weights, but no weight machines and it seemed like none of the 4 cardio machines was working. This is a deal-breaker for me going forward. We chose this property because it was convenient to downtown, cultural attractions, and food choices. The West End (and much of downtown) has seen some better days, but there are still plenty of tasty restaurants within a few blocks of this hotel, and it's very convenient to main roads and the tram line. It was also a short walk to Uptown and the Arts District, which was very convenient.

I came in for a business trip and most of our group was supposed to be at a different hotel but the day of, that hotel said it had an issue and sent us this one. I really have no complaints. The staff was nice and accommodating. The location was in a central area to restaurants, shops and to downtown. I learned it was within walking distance to Daley Plaza (JFK site). Overall the area seemed nice. Love when hotels include a full breakfast.

A great and affordable option for downtown Dallas. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and I slept like a rock both knights. Keep in mind that this is a no frills hotel, so while you get breakfast, you're on your own. The staff were friendly but somewhat unknowledgeable. Parking is very expensive. Use rideshare instead.

Well, where do I start with the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Dallas Downtown/West End? The location is good, conveniently across from the Dallas World Aquarium and a short walk to downtown's museums. Even the local homeless population seems to appreciate the spot - they're regulars in the area. This hotel was our chosen haven primarily for its mythical creature, the elusive swimming pool, prominently featured in their advertising. However, it appears that this pool exists in the same realm as unicorns and mermaids because we certainly couldn't find it. Complaining to the staff was about as effective as shouting into the void. The manager even promised to discuss this with us but seems to have fallen into the same black hole as the pool. Breakfast is included, an oasis in the desert of disappointment. Additionally, the housekeeping staff were pleasant, an anomaly amongst their peers. Be prepared for renovations. Expect dust. Lots of dust. Especially in the elevators, where it seemed to have taken up permanent residence during our four-day stay. It's a bold aesthetic choice, to be sure. Oh, and let's not forget the charm of the front desk staff. Their attitude was a beautiful blend of indifference and rudeness, with one individual seemingly confusing his job for a stage, providing an unsolicited performance of disrespect. Did I mention the parking? It's not included. $45 per day to park your car, a delightful surprise add-on to your stay. To summarise, the pros of staying here include an excellent location and an encounter with some friendly housekeeping staff. The cons, however, involve navigating through a Kafkaesque scenario of poor management, misleading advertising, sub-par cleanliness, and a customer service approach that seems to have "annoy guests" as its main objective. With many other hotels in Dallas offering similar rates, I'd advise any prospective guests to take their chances elsewhere. Remember, a roll of the dice will never abolish chance.
